Project coordinator of the SPS Blue Nile project receives German Hydrology Award 2024

Prof. Dr. Harald Kunstmann has been awarded the German Hydrology Prize 2024 for his outstanding research achievements in hydrology in German-speaking countries. The prize was presented to the project coordinator of the SPS Blue Nile project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) today, on Hydrology Day, at Freie Universität Berlin. In his award lecture, Prof. Dr. Kunstmann reported in particular on the research work on seasonal forecasting of extreme weather events in the SPS Blue Nile project.
