GRoW-Project go-CAM is happy to announce its “Water Webinar” featuring water practitioners from Germany and South Africa, taking place on 5 July 2021 from 10h00 to 14h30 (CEST). The webinar will provide new perspectives on the topic of climate change and water security in cities and towns, based on the project’s experience in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa.

The World Economic Forum ranked water crises as number one in its 2015 assessment of global risks, with potential to cause damaging economic and social impacts across entire countries and sectors. What does it mean for cities, towns and regions who will feel the direct impacts of climate change?

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality (BCMM), the Oldenburg-East Frisian Water Board from Germany (OOWV) and the Technical University of Braunschweig (TUB), are inviting to the South African-German go-CAM Water WebinarClimate Change and Water Security in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality“ to share new perspectives and possible solutions.

The webinar will be streamed publicly and all guests joining the session via the live stream are free to put forward questions to participants via a chat-function.

Further information about the panellists and a detailed agenda can be found here.

The go-CAM Water Webinar will be streamed here on July 5, 2021 from 10h00 to 14h30 (CEST).
