Dr. Konstantin Scheihing, project engineer of OOWV (Oldenburg-East-Frisian Water Board), will hold a presentation on behalf of the GRoW project go-Cam during the 3rd edition of IFAT Africa - Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling.

IFAT Africa is a forum and trade exhibition for environmental technologies that takes place once a year in Johannesburg. On 9th of July 2019, Dr. Konstantin Scheihing presents in cooperation with the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality the GRoW project go-CAM at the IFAT Africa. The Leichtweiß-Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources (LWI) of TU Braunschweig leads the go-Cam project and provided substantial input to this presentation.

The go-Cam projects focuses on the special challenges of the sustainable use of water resources in coastal regions. Through multi criteria decision analysis, go-CAM establishes regional courses of action that will be transferred into practice using the CAM dialogue platform.

The presentation will demonstrate how the South African - German cooperation in the water sector can be financed and organized. Furthermore, it will explain the promotion of GRoW funding measure by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in order to strengthen the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
