The GRoW mid-term conference taking place on 20/21 February 2019, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany nears. If you haven’t yet registered, please remember to do so here. Closing date for registrations is 1 February 2019 (registration is required).

The conference will be rich in variety: The GRoW projects will present their latest results, and discuss them with the more than 200 expected participants from research, business and practice. Keynote speaker Prof Stefan Uhlenbrook (UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme) will share insights on the state, challenges and knowledge gaps in achieving the SDG 6. In 5 thematic breakout sessions, participants will discuss approaches to transferring research results into practice. For these, we have already secured many inspiring speakers: Dr Graham Alabaster (UN-HABITAT GEMI-Initiative), Barbara Gerhager (Head of  Wasser, GIZ), Benjamin Plaga  (Volkswagen), Philipp Wagnitz (advisor freshwater, WWF Germany), Dr Marius Claassen (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Südafrika), Mauricio Scheer (SANEPAR, Brasilien), Carlos Silvestri Somontes (Centro de Competencias del Agua (CCA), Peru) (tbc), Christian Malewski (Wupperverband), Dr Heike Bach (Vista GmbH - Remote Sensing in Geosciences), Godehard Hennies (Head of Wasserverbandstag e.V.).
