The Water Dialogues for Results series will culminate in a high-level conference hosted by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) on 1 July 2021. Register now to watch the event in livestream.

The BMU has initiated the Water Dialogues for Results on behalf of the German Federal Government to discuss the relevance of water as a resource for global sustainable development with various member states of the United Nations and other international actors between February and July 2021. The value of water was made visible in a series of events with different thematic and regional focuses. In addition, steps were identified that are necessary for the global implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6). Part of this dialogue series was the Science & Research Forum supported by GRoW, the outcome documents of which can be found here.

The dialogue series will culminate in a high-level conference hosted by BMU in Bonn on 1 July 2021. At the same time, the conference is part of the preparatory process for the Mid-term Review of the UN Water Action Decade 2023. Ministerial representatives of various UN member states from the global North and South as well as of other international organisations will address needs and priorities in the water sector during the conference. Best practice examples will be presented to show how policy recommendations can be put into practice locally. In addition, BMU will officially present the policy messages that resulted from regional and thematic events in the framework of the Water Dialogue Series.

The event will be broadcasted live. You can register for the livestream here.
